How to Make a Video Greeting Card
A video card can make any ordinary greeting extraordinary. And it’s easy to turn your own photos and video clips into a personalized video that’ll show how much you care. How to make video greeting cards in 6 easy steps
Before you begin, log in to Animoto. If you haven't yet, you can sign up for a free account or choose a paid plan for access to more advanced features. Then choose a freevideo template in Animoto such as the Birthday Fun template shown above. Looking for more? Check out this section.
1. Upload images and video clips
You can add your own photos and footage from your phone, scan in old pictures, or pull images from your social media accounts to find what you need for your video. You can also search our Getty Images stock library, including over 1 million photos and video clips.
2. Personalize your video greeting
Once you’ve started your video, you can adjust colors, fonts, and other design settings to customize the video for your recipient. You can also add or edit text to make your message feel that much more personal.
Use animated elements as if they were stickers, adding more personality and movement to your video greeting card.
3. Choose music
Browse through hundreds of songs in our library of licensed music until you find the right fit. Search by genre, mood, and more. You can also upload your own licensed music into Animoto if you already have a song in mind. All of our music tools can be found in the Audio tab.
4. Add Voice-over

5. Preview and export your video
When your video is ready, click the blue play button to preview your full project. If you want to make a change, you can keep editing, or just click Export to finalize your video.
6. Save and share
Once your video is exported, you can download it or share it directly from Animoto. You can email it directly to your greeting card recipient, or share it on Instagram for all of your followers to see.
